Favor N.
Born June 2019
Favour Nankyazi faced significant challenges early in life after her parents separated, leaving her in the care of her father. When he remarried, Favour’s stepmother mistreated her, neglecting her needs and often denying her food. Tragically, her father did nothing to intervene, allowing the neglect to continue.
As Favour’s health deteriorated due to severe malnutrition, concerned neighbors took action and reported the situation to the authorities. Favour was rescued from this harmful environment and brought to Sonrise Baby Home for urgent care and protection.
Upon arrival at Sonrise, Favour was diagnosed with severe malnutrition and tuberculosis, likely caused by her weakened immune system due to prolonged neglect. With dedicated care, she recovered. In 2024 Favour was transitioned to the Mirembe Cottage for Girls. We invite you to partner with Favour by supporting her housing, meals, education, and general care.
