<< Back to Children's Home Children

Birthdate July 26, 2013

Nicolette's journey began at just 4 months old when she was rescued by the Sonrise Baby Home, appearing frail and malnourished despite her young age. Her teen mother, battling both HIV and cancer, was unable to provide the care she desperately needed, and Nicolette's grandmother faced challenges in caring for her. Tragically, Nicolette's mother has since passed away, leaving her in need of support and care.

At the age of 3, Nicolette transitioned from the Sonrise Baby Home to the Sonrise Children’s Home, where she found a nurturing environment to thrive in. During holidays, she cherishes the opportunity to return to her village, reconnecting with her grandmother and other relatives. These visits allow her to deepen her connection to her roots and learn valuable life lessons within the village setting.

Despite the adversities she has faced, Nicolette shines brightly as a diligent student. Her favorite color is red, and she delights in the simple pleasures of candy, chicken, and chapatti. She finds joy in skipping rope and expressing herself through drawing, often surrounded by her cherished friends. With aspirations of becoming a teacher, Nicolette's determination and resilience promise a bright future ahead.
