Elvin M

< Back to Children

Elvin was born in 2015 with two large hernias and was sadly abandoned at birth. His father, who is HIV-positive, was unable to care for him. An AIDS support organization reached out to Sonrise for help, and we welcomed Elvin into the Sonrise Baby Home with open arms. Thanks to timely care and support, Elvin was able to undergo surgery to correct his hernias and began his journey toward healing. In early 2020, he transitioned to the Sonrise Children’s Home.

Elvin is full of life and energy—always on the move, running and playing with a huge smile on his face. Though he faces a mild learning disability that affects his speech, writing, and classroom performance, he never lets it slow him down. He’s eager to help with anything and volunteers for every task, even if it’s a little beyond his abilities.

Elvin’s joy is contagious. He loves to laugh, play harmless pranks, and bring smiles to those around him. His heart for people is as big as his personality, and he leaves a lasting impression on everyone he meets.
